Dear Colleagues, dear participants of the Global Reserach Conference on Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development (GRCRESD2024),

I am very happy to welcome you to this GRCRESD2024 conference. Energy is and will be one of the most important issues to provide sustainable existence and development of human society. Even when it seems there is spent more effort in information technology, it is obvious that at the end of any information processing there must be an action – and here we need energy. We have to make better use of renewable energy source, but we also have to deal reasonably with sustainable technologies. These are the topics of GRCRESD2024.

I am very proud to see the growth of energy engineering and the extension of areas for so-called renewable energies (of course, physically energy is not renewable). For me it is obvious, that energy and power – especially electrical energy and electrical power – will be decisive for our future.Yes, energy is the real challenge for us engineers, and it is the real challenge forsustainable development.

I conclude by wishing you all the best for the GRCRESD2024 especially I wish you a fruitful, exchange of ideas and results.

Best regards from Technical University of Munich
